I will unite RAILA and RUTO, UHURU’s popularity to be TAMED - ATWOLI vows

Sunday November 25, 2012 - The Central Organisation of Trade Union (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has said he will unite Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Eldoret North MP William Ruto in order to have a peaceful general election.

Speaking at Ebukwale Primary School in Kwhisero Constituency after registering as voter on Saturday, Atwoli said the move of uniting Raila and Ruto would cool the rising political temperature and avoid political polarisation being witnessed in the country.

“I am talking with to the PM with the view of having him join Ruto in the alliance formation talks….. It is a difficult task, but I am up to the task,” Atwoli said.

He said he was also reaching Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka in order to form a formidable force to beat Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta hands downs in the forthcoming general election.

Atwoli said unity of the four leaders is the only ideal strategy of taming the soaring popularity of Uhuru Kenyatta and his party The National Alliance (TNA).
